    ADRIEN RENAUD

    CONCURRENT MSRE/MUP CANDIDATE 2011
    RENAUD

    Adrien Renaud is a third year concurrent graduate candidate 2011, completing dual master’s degrees in Real Estate and Urban Planning. He is currently interviewing for internship opportunities with a Seattle based developers or asset managers throughout the summer and fall, with a projected degree completion date in the end of 2011. Having dual degrees offers a well rounded academic experience, bringing a balanced financial, environmental, and sociological perspective that is the basis for development in the northwest. The University of Washington, College of the Built Environment’s interdisciplinary nature has offered exposure to a variety of skill sets, software applications, green programs and concepts, local cultural and legal standards.  As an extension of UW the Exploration Seminar on Hybrid Urbanism, allowed for an international study traveling to Hong Kong and Tokyo, where the stark difference in development pushes the boundaries of conventional wisdom. Back in Seattle, he has been working in property management for Clover Properties while at UW fulltime, and has volunteered his time to student government, receiving honorable mention for his three years of service above and beyond the call of duty.  He is also a member of NAIOP, ULI, APA, and Corenet. 

    Adrien has a BA from the University of Connecticut in Statistical Psychology, specializing in Industrial Organization. Prior to graduate school at UW Adrien resided in Boston, while working for ADP, the world’s largest payroll outsourcing solution. His experiences as trustee for the HOA of his 52 unit condo changed his career path, as a major capital project renovation became the focus of his life for 1 year. This catalyst experience prompted applications to graduate school and a career path change into the built environment and is now eagerly seeking professional experience.
