Brian Kasper 
CONCURRENT MSRE/MUP CANDIDATE 2011
Brian Kasper is a second-year student in the Master of Science in Real Estate and Master of Urban Planning program here in the College of Built Environments. Prior to entering graduate school, he worked in residential brokerage in the brownstone neighborhoods of Brooklyn, NY. Most recently, Brian worked with the Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies where he assisted the Associate Director in grant writing and researching test cases for the Decision Commons project. He also was instrumental in putting together a joint seminar with the Federal Sustainable Communities initiative. Brian’s passion is with sustainable real estate, more specifically Brian is researching retrofit strategies for commercial real estate for the Master of Urban Planning thesis.
Brian is actively involved on-campus and off. He is an active member of NAIOP and ULI. In his involvement in NAIOP, he is a member of the Developing Leaders committee in addition; he created the Washington State chapters first mentor program, which kicked off in Fall 2010. Brian is also actively involved n the UW Real Estate Club. In addition to Brian’s real estate associations, Brian also volunteers with Northwest Harvest food bank in Seattle and has been involved in Habitat for Humanity since 2004. |
