    KATLIN JACKSON, CSBA

    Katlin Jackson is a second-year student in the Master of Science in Real Estate program.  Before entering graduate school, she worked with a small entrepreneurial residential real estate development company in Seattle.  At her current internship with Heartland, LLC, a local real estate consulting and investment company, Katlin works on a wide range of real estate projects and is involved in project due diligence, development feasibility studies, investment analysis, market research, and land-use policy analysis.

    Passionate about advancing concepts of sustainability within the real estate industry, Katlin has completed the Sustainable Building Advisor Program, is certified as a Permaculture Designer, and pioneered a group of students and local professionals to craft recommendations for and implement a sustainable real estate course at UW.  Katlin is also currently participating in the Affiliate Fellows Program, a group of real estate professionals and graduate students focusing on the relationship between sustainability, the economy, and real estate. 

    In the local community, Katlin serves on the Leadership Team for the Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders Group, the ULI Housing Affordability Task Force, and the Virginia Mason Medical Center Major Institutions Master Plan Citizens Advisory Committee. 

    Katlin is the recipient of the H. Jon and Judith M. Runstad Endowed Fellowship, the Rebecca J. Griego Memorial Endowed Scholarship, and the AIET Minorities & Women in Education Scholarship.
