BRAD HUGHES
MSRE/MBA CANDIDATE 2011
Brad Hughes is a MSRE candidate at the University of Washington with an interest in real estate development and institutional investment management. He is also a concurrent MBA candidate at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, and will receive a certificate in Global Business and a certificate in Global Trade, Transportation, and Logistics. He is currently a Research Assistant for real estate Professor Terry Grissom, and is analyzing alternative methods for commercial real estate valuation during a down market. During the past summer Brad worked for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Corporate Solutions group to define and document global real estate master planning processes for Microsoft, and he served as an international liaison between process owners and participants in order to facilitate the standardization and corporate acceptance of the processes worldwide.
Before returning to graduate school Brad was a Senior Manager in Ernst & Young’s Business and Information Systems Risk Management group in San Francisco. During his tenure at Ernst & Young, Brad obtained several professional certifications, including a CPA license, Certified Information Systems Auditor certification, and a Real Estate Broker license. He also received a Business Economics Bachelor’s degree from UCLA with a Minor in Accounting and a Specialization in Computer Modeling.
